A little of what we did last week

Here is a few pictures of what we did last week.

Here is sweet boys work.

Here is Bella's work. She traced a few letters and then wanted to make a puzzle.

Some map work and stamping.

The kids also used the moveable alphabet for spelling. Sweet boy was working with me as my husband helped Bella. She is just learning her letters so this was great for her.

Hola Karen!
For my son we taught him both at home English and Spanish. He does perfectly fine. He completely understands that if he is working in Spanish some sounds are different and there are some different rules like the silent 'h'. For sweet boy I would have two different shelves - One for ALL English and one for ALL Spanish. This helped him.

Bella is just starting to learn her sounds in both languages. I do not teach her the sounds in English at home since she is attending part-time school. We do work on them once in a while because she brings it up.

hi, I think I have already commented on your blog. I am Italian and since a few months I have been speaking Spanish to my 8 yrs old child. I have put a link to your blog from mine. Hope you don't mind if I use the picture with the M words (mariposa, mariquita...) as introductory picture of one of my next posts on how I play with Spanish with my child, saludos Elena
